I hope you enjoy this music in your own explorations. In FTL you experience the atmosphere of running a spaceship trying to save the galaxy. NASA, of course, had no part in the creation of this EP. The photograph is from NASA's Apollo 9 mission. The cover art was made by me, with some help from famed indie team Studio Miniboss. The three pieces, played in order, imply a story. Three pieces, complete with Explore and Battle versions, for your deep space listening enjoyment. In September of 2015 I had a lull between projects and, on a whim, decided to make some unofficial FTL music. The album art was made by the imaginative Erika Johannsen. As always though, I encourage you to make your own arrangements. We're putting the Battle tracks first this time to change things up a bit.
This same music should also be available in the FTL game update download, but you can listen to it here as well. Colony Ship was written in 2008, long before FTL, and was eventually reworked from scratch into MilkyWay.
This is all the music added to FTL as part of the Advanced Edition update, plus bonus track Colony Ship. Sweet album art by FTL designer/artist Justin Ma.
None of the music from the game has been omitted. Listen to whichever half fits your mood, or make your own arrangement! Think of it like a 2-disc set: tracks 1-14 are the low-key, relaxing Explore pieces, while tracks 15-29 make up the exciting, fast-paced Battle music. Each interactive track from the game has been split into its two parts, both of which are complete tracks in their own right. See Sectors for the track distribution per sector. These tracks are not in the game, but the music pays homage to FTL's original soundtrack as noted by the recurring themes, as well as having both Explore and Battle variations. Note that the Advanced Edition tracks are played in game even if Advanced Edition Content is disabled.Īn unofficial FTL track was released by Ben Prunty on Bandcamp December 17, 2015. Iris and the Giant is a game by Louis Rigaud.
Dive into a melancholic and gripping adventure, filled with cute monsters and buried memories. You play as Iris, who must brave her fears in her imaginary world. Iris and The Giant is a fusion of the CCG, RPG and roguelike genres. A bonus track which was reworked into MilkyWay is included. The original soundtrack for Iris and the Giant by John Leonard French. The additional tracks added in the Advanced Edition were also released on Bandcamp on April 3rd, 2014. Most tracks come in two parts, one for exploration and one for battle, the game crossfading between the two depending on the situation. The soundtrack of the game was composed by Ben Prunty and was released on Bandcamp on September 14th, 2012.
